Parent Participation:
Parents and guardians play a vital role in helping their child achieve academic success within our centers. Parents are given the opportunity to become academic partners with the center's staff by investing their time toward participating in the center’s PTA. Parents will be provided with an extensive list of ways in which they can become involved and support the academic growth of their child depending upon their availability and individual interests. Every year we offer educational seminars for interested parents and guardians who wish to gain valuable information on topics such as early literacy and math strategies, discipline & positive behavior management, and character education. Parents are encouraged to participate whenever they are able to. Parents have unlimited access to all areas of the center during hours of operation. Parents are encouraged to attend our events, programs, and hosted activities. If a parent needs to talk to a teacher or an administrator please make an appointment with them, so that they are not being taken away from the children during class time. This way the teacher or administrator can focus on what the parent has to say. If a parent has a concern please feel free to speak to the center director, if you cannot speak in person you can email her at info@kidsrkids.org.
Parental and Community Involvement (PTA):
The company believes that the establishment of a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an effective way to solicit parental participation in school affairs. The PTA will be knowledgeable of the company’s policies, programs and issues rather than the specific details of school operations. It can also inform and advise the CEO and directors on the interests, opinions, and concerns of parents and the community regarding how well each center performs its educational duties. The PTA membership will include the Center Director, parents, teachers and community representatives. Following are some of the PTA’s responsibilities:
- Provide the Center Director with suggestions and feedback regarding center learning experiences.
- Collaborate with the Director to strategically plan events for the center
- Facilitate events that allow parents, students, and the staff to interact
- Manage funds to support school programs and activities
- Distribute information to the community concerning center recruitment and programming
- Assist the Center Director to ensure parental input into all major decisions for the school
